iTunes problems after virus infection last year

Since having my laptop rebuilt after a virus infection last year, I can’t play anything from my iTunes music library without the songs constantly cutting out for a slit-second, time after time. The longer I run iTunes, the worse it gets.

I’ve had the laptop memory boosted to the maximum, to no effect, and my local computer specialists assure me all the correct drivers are in place. They don’t seem able to help further, can anyone else?
